Gleditsch holds a master’s degree from the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts (2015). He works primarily with photography and text. His projects often take their starting point in historical events, works of art, or architecture, where shifts in meaning and misinterpretations have played a central role in their history of impact and reception. Ancient sculpture, architecture, and color have been recurring themes. In his work, Gleditsch explores the mechanisms behind historiography, the construction of historical narratives, unintended shifts in meaning, and how the blurred boundaries between subjective experience and objective facts shape the way historical narratives are established and conveyed.
