Paal Audestad has worked as a photographer since he began photographing concerts in Oslo for *Nye Takter* when he was 17 years old. After a year in the darkroom at *Klassekampen*, he worked for *Arbeiderbladet*/*Dagsavisen* from 1989 to 2001, and subsequently for *Aftenposten*, first as a freelancer and later as a staff photographer. Audestad has always been heavily involved in music and has, among other things, taken all the press and cover photos for Kaizers Orchestra throughout their career—a collection of which was published as a book, *Blitzregn 02-12*, by Cappelen Damm.
