Palu is an award-winning documentary photographer and filmmaker whose work has been featured in publications and exhibitions around the world. He is well known for his work examining social and political issues such as human rights, conflict, and poverty.

Palu is a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellow and a Harry Ransom Center Research Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. He has received numerous awards, including a Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting Grant and a Milton Rogovin Fellowship at the Center for Creative Photography.
