Jan Olav Andersen is a photographer based in Andenes, where the Northern Lights play a central role as both a natural phenomenon and a subject of research. Andersen’s photographs of the Northern Lights have their roots in this environment, but he also works as a portrait, advertising, and industrial photographer. He established his own studio in 1975 and previously served as head of photography in the Air Force.
