Kjartan Slettemark's Military Dandelion

This photograph was taken due to a delayed flight departure from Flesland Airport on June 15, 1979. While waiting, Slettemark went for a walk in the woods with his POLAROID camera. There he found a Norwegian flag (sticker) next to a dandelion. After some “artistic editing,” this was the result. Unfortunately, he was on military property, and according to a law from 1914, photography there was strictly prohibited, making Slettemark a threat to national security. He was immediately arrested and brought before an irate garrison commander. After much back-and-forth, both the artist and the photograph were released. With reservations. But in reality, this is a military secret.
