Ilona Langbroek is a Dutch fine art photographer based in Hilversum, who graduated with honors from the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam. She's best known for her series Silent Loss, a personal exploration of the lost identity of people forced to leave the Dutch East Indies after Indonesian independence. Her style draws on the chiaroscuro lighting of Dutch Golden Age masters like Vermeer and Rembrandt, and her work is exhibited at international art fairs and held in public and private collections worldwide.
