Homo photographus, 1993

Photographer Raymond Martinez lives near Arles in the south of France. He presents for years an artistic work. Time, trace and memory are the main ideas that guide him. This site presents its various creative works, including images representing the material as “Traces of Life” or “On the Skin of Water”. He also presents his virtual galerie, his exhibitions, his biography and recent images where he turns to an abstract photography especially with his series “The Breath of Time” where his images rub shoulders with painting. Martinez was the assistant to Lucien Clergue. The profession of photographer allowed him to realize many reportages, but also to produce shots in advertising and fashion.
