A Reminiscense.

Fero Tomík is one of the leading representatives of Slovak photographic art. The native of Skalice and a graduate of the Prague FAMU worked as a cinematographer at Krátkom film Praha, SNG photographer and as a pedagogue at the Bratislava School and the Faculty of Education of the UK. He stood at the founding of the Department of Visual Arts of the Academy of Art in Banská Bystrica. He is a member of the National Committee of FIAP (at NOC) as well as international competitions juries (Fujifilm European Press, 2005, 2006). He has prepared dozens of profile exhibitions by many authors. For 15 years he has been in the team of organizers and curators of FOTOFO exhibitions within the framework of the Month of Photography in Bratislava. He publishes his work since r. 1961, exhibits in separate (12) and joint exhibitions at home and abroad. In his work he devotes himself to documentary, reportage and art, and he uses photography.
