Roland Schmid was born in Basel/Switzerland. He received his photographical education at Hugo Jaeggi's and currently works as a freelance photographer for many national and international Newspapers, Magazines, for different companies, and organisations. From 2007 - 2008 he was artist in residence at Association Gwin Zegal in Brittany / France.
